Léonore Porchet (born July 9, 1989 in Châtel-Saint-Denis ) is a Swiss politician ( Greens ).

Life

Léonore Porchet grew up in northern Vaud . She studied art history at the University of Lausanne and works in the communications department of a design and communications agency in Lausanne . She lives in Lausanne.

politics

Léonore Porchet joined the Young Greens in 2005 . She was secretary from 2010 to 2012 and president of the Lausanne Greens from 2014 to 2017. From 2015 to 2017 she was a member of the Lausanne City Council (legislature). Since 2017 she has been a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud, where she represents the Greens on the Health Commission.

In the national parliamentary elections on October 20, 2019 , Léonore Porchet was elected to the National Council for the Greens .

Porchet was President of the Foundation Board of the Fondation Solidarité Logements pour les Étudiant ‑ e ‑ s . She is a board member of the PROFA foundation in Lausanne and a board member of the umverkehR association .
