Jacqueline de Quattro
Jacqueline de Quattro (born June 24, 1960 in Zurich ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ).
Personal
De Quattro lived in Zurich until she was eleven and then moved to Pully near Lausanne . She speaks fluent German, French, Italian and English. She currently lives in La Tour-de-Peilz . She is married and has two kids.
education and profession
In 1979 she completed successfully the Matura , and gained after four years of study at the University of Lausanne licentiate of law . She then assisted François Dessemontet and Karl Heinz Neumayer . From 1986 to 1998 she was a judicial officer at the juvenile court , at the cantonal court , later responsible lawyer for the library of the federal court and later a judicial officer at the federal court.
As a lawyer, she founded a law firm in Lausanne with three other people in 2000 , which today comprises around twelve people.
politics
Between 2001 and 2002 she was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud . From 2001 to 2007 she chaired the legal commission of the FDP Vaud. In autumn 2005 she was selected by the then FDP party president Fulvio Pelli as the person responsible for a working group that was supposed to develop a new party strategy.
In 2006 she was elected to the local council ( executive ) of her municipality of La Tour-de-Peilz , where she was responsible for “security and culture”.
On April 1, 2007 she was elected to the State Council of the Canton of Vaud ; she headed the Department of Building and Environment (Département du territoire et de l'environnement) . She was elected to the National Council in the 2019 parliamentary elections. As a result, she resigned from the State Council on November 1, 2019.
As the successor to Marianne Dürst , she was elected President of the FDP Women Switzerland on March 1, 2008 in Chur . She gave up the office in mid-2010.
Judo and Ju-Jitsu
De Quattro achieved third place in judo and first place in ju-jitsu at the Swiss championships in 2004 . She has the degree of 1st Dan JJ , resp. 3rd Dan JU since 2005 .
