La Fresnaye-sur-Chédouet is a commune Déléguée in the French commune of Villeneuve-en-Perseigne with 924 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire . The inhabitants are called Fresnayons .
On January 1, 2015, La Fresnaye-sur-Chédouet was merged with the municipalities of Chassé , Lignières-la-Carelle , Montigny , Roullée and Saint-Rigomer-des-Bois to form the new municipality ( Commune nouvelle ) Villeneuve-en-Perseigne. The municipality belonged to the arrondissement of Mamers and the canton of Mamers (until 2015: canton La Fresnaye-sur-Chédouet ).
