Laetitia Beck ; Hebrew לטיסיה בק(Born February 5, 1992 in Antwerp , Belgium ) is an Israeli golfer . She made her professional debut in 2014 at The Open Championship .

Life

Laetitia Beck was born to Liliane and Jean Claude Beck. She has two sisters, Liora and Olivia Claude, and one brother, Yoni Claude. When she was six years old, she and her family moved to Caesarea , Israel. When she was eight years old she got her first golf lesson. Golf was part of her active life alongside soccer and tennis . When she was 12, her mother encouraged her to take part in the Israeli Women's Championship. Inspired by the victory , from now on she only concentrated on golf. At the age of 13 she won a national title. After she won the tournament , her parents sent her to the IMG Academy in Bradenton , Florida for a year . Laetitia stayed at the academy for a second year because she wanted to apply for a training place at the LPGA . She received a study place at the Duke University in Durham in North Carolina , USA . At university, she was twice named All-American in the country. She finished her studies in 2010. She lives in a Jewish community in Miami-Dade County , Florida. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil , she finished 31st with two strokes over par.
