State Horticultural Show Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler 2022

The fifth state horticultural show (LAGA) in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate is to be held in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler in 2022 . The event site is to extend over 6.5 kilometers on both sides of the Ahr from the Ahrtalbrücke ( federal motorway 61 ) below Bad Neuenahr to the Kalvarienberg monastery in Ahrweiler . Between 800,000 and a million visitors are expected there over the course of the six to seven month garden show . On 180 LAGA days, visitors will be offered five to ten events a day.

On November 30, 2015, the Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler city council commissioned the city administration to prepare the necessary documents for an application to host the show. At that time, interested parties also included Betzdorf , Kirchen (Sieg) and Wissen im Westerwald , who were considering a joint application, as well as Bitburg , Neuwied and Neustadt an der Weinstrasse .

On September 20, 2016, the state government of Rhineland-Palatinate announced its decision to use Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler as the venue for the State Garden Show 2022. The district town of the Ahrweiler district applied for the third time to host a state horticultural show.
