The state elections in Carinthia in 1994 took place on March 13, 1994. The Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ) lost again and had to give up three mandates. On the other hand, the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), which was able to increase its share of the vote for the third time in a row and won two mandates , was able to win strongly . After the heavy losses, the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) was able to stabilize in 1994 and won another mandate. In addition to the parties already established in the state parliament, the Liberal Forum (LIF), the United Greens Austria (VGÖ), the Enotna Lista (EL) and the best party (DBP), all of which failed to make it into the state parliament.
In 1994, 417,620 people were entitled to vote in the state elections, which meant an increase in the number of people entitled to vote by 15,861.
