The Lane is a river in France that runs in the Indre-et-Loire department in the Center-Val de Loire region . Its origin is in the castle pond of the Château Planchoury , in the Commune déléguée Saint-Michel-sur-Loire (municipality of Côteaux-sur-Loire ). The river generally drains west through the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Nature Park and always stays parallel to the Loire River and the motorway and rail links that accompany it. After around 25 kilometers, the river flows into the Authion as a left tributary at the municipal boundary of Chouzé-sur-Loire and Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil .

At the coordinate point ( 47 ° 16 ′ 6 ″  N , 0 ° 6 ′ 51 ″  E ) branches off from the lane of Petit Lane , which also joins the Authion about five kilometers further.
