The Langenbach , also called Backesbach , is a 3.4 km long, northwest and orographically left tributary of the Eichelbach in the Taunus low mountain range . It runs in the Hessian Hochtaunuskreis .

course

The Langenbach rises in the eastern Hintertaunus within the Taunus Nature Park . Its source is located on the western slope of the basin of Hasselbach - about 400 m northwest from the summit of Schin head ( 428  m ), the northeast foothills of Kuhbetts ( 525.6  m ).

Initially, the Langenbach, located entirely in the Taunus Nature Park, flows eastward into the village of Hasselbach, where it turns approximately to the south and runs along state road  3337. In the village, where a small section of the stream is piped, it passes the Backes , where the Hasselbacher name Backesbach comes from. It continues through the duck park and along the western edge of the village. Near the southern end of the village, where the valley basin opens, a stream (also called Langenbach ) coming from the Kuhbett mountain flows into , after which the (actual) Langenbach passes the Margarethenhof . From then flowing the stream through the narrow Langenbachtal in easterly directions along the main road 3030. In this Talzug is located on the stream Rumpenmühle , where another watercourse , popularly snow stream called opens.

About 800 meters below the Rumpenmühle, the Langenbach flows west of the Wehrholz parcel into the Eichelbach coming from the southwest, which feeds the Weil 950 meters further northeast .
