Lars-Gunnar Pettersson (born April 8, 1960 in Luleå ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player .
Career
Lars-Gunnar Pettersson began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of IFK Luleå , for whose professional team he made his debut in the second-rate Division 1 in the 1976/77 season . The ice hockey department of IFK Luleå then split off from the club and the attacker ran until 1980 for the successor team Groko Hockey and Luleå HF in Division 1. For the 1980/81 season he moved to IF Björklöven from the Elitserien . With the team he won the Swedish championship in the 1986/87 season . As the top scorer in the Elitserien, he himself played a major role in this success. For the 1987/88 season , the left shooter returned to Luleå HF within the Elitserien. There he was also able to convince and in the 1988/89 season was not only the top scorer of the Elitserien, but also their top scorer. Following the 1993/94 season , his career with Luleå HF ended at the age of 34.
International
For Sweden , Pettersson took part in the junior division at the U18 European Junior Championship in 1978 and the U20 World Junior Championship in 1980 . At the tournaments he won the bronze medal with his team.
In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the 1985 , 1986 and 1987 World Championships . He also competed for Sweden in 1987 at the Canada Cup and at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary . At the 1986 World Cup he and his team won the silver medal and the gold medal at the 1987 World Cup. At the 1988 Winter Games he also won the bronze medal with Sweden.
