Latin America and Caribbean Network Information Center
The Latin America & Caribbean Network Information Center ( LACNIC ) is the responsible Regional Internet Registry (RIR) for Latin America and the Caribbean . She looks after IP addresses, AS numbers, DNS entries and other network resources.
LACNIC was founded in 2001 . The administrative office is in Montevideo , Uruguay and the technical facilities are provided by Comitê Gestor da Internet Brasil in São Paulo . Before the foundation, the services of LACNIC were carried out by ARIN .
