Career
society
Crichton started playing soccer at Cumbernauld Cosmos. She then moved to the Whitehill Welfare LFC and in 2007 the Glasgow City LFC for a brief interlude. From 2007 to 2011 she played for local rivals Celtic Glasgow LFC and then for Hibernian Edinburgh . She then returned to the Glasgow City LFC for the first time. In 2015, after three championships with Glasgow City, she moved south to Notts County . With Notts, she reached both the cup final and the league cup final. In 2017 she returned to the Glasgow City LFC for the second time. She became a master there twice more. She also won the Scottish Cup and League Cup several times with Glasgow City. For Glasgow City she also played a total of 22 UEFA Women's Champions League games . She scored her only CL goal to date on September 12, 2018 in the round of 32 in a 2-0 win over the Cypriot champions Somatio Barcelona FA . In the next round, however, came the end against the women, FC Barcelona .
National team
Crichton was part of the squad of the U-19 team that took part in a U-19 European Championship for the first time in 2005 , but was eliminated there after three defeats with a negative record of 2:11 goals, which was only three years later from their own U-19 team. Team was "outbid" with 2:12 goals.
On March 12, 2009 Crichton made his debut in the game for 7th place of the Cyprus Cup 2009 against Russia in the senior team. She came on as a substitute in the 2-1 win four minutes before the end of the game. But then she had to wait almost four years for the next international match. With two defeats against the USA in February 2013, she was in the starting line-up, but was substituted after 65 minutes. In the first game of the Cyprus Cup in 2013 , she played over 90 minutes for the first time and was then used in the other three games that ended in fifth place. She was now a regular player and scored her first international goal on June 1, 2013 against Iceland . In qualifying for the 2015 World Cup , she was used in eight games and scored two goals. The direct qualification was missed by two defeats against Sweden and in the play-offs of the group runners-up they lost twice to the Netherlands.
It went better in qualifying for the EM 2017 . With seven wins and only one defeat, the Scottish women as runners-up benefited from the fact that the number of final round participants was increased to 16 and they were thus qualified for the final round for the first time. Crichton came in seven games but was unable to contribute a goal. At the EM it was used in the three games. In their first European Championship game they met England and lost 6-0. In the second group game they lost 2-1 to Portugal . The third game was won against Spain 1-0. Since Portugal and Spain also lost to England, but the Spaniards won 2-0 against Portugal, the Scottish women were eliminated as third.
In qualifying for the 2019 World Cup , it was only used in the first two games in October 2017. It was then used in early January 2018 in the 3-0 defeat against Norway, but then initially not anymore. The Scottish women qualified for the first time for the World Cup, where they will meet England in the first game, as in the European Championship.
In 2019 she was used in five of the first eight games and nominated for the World Cup on May 15, 2019 . At the World Cup, it was only used in the last group game against Argentina . After 69 minutes, the Scottish women led 3-0, but then had to accept three goals, including the decisive goal to 3: 3 in the fourth minute of stoppage time, and were eliminated.
