The Lechstaustufe 22 - Unterbergen is a barrage of Lech between Landsberg and Augsburg and is located at the level of the community Schmiechen belonging village sub Bergen (60.4 kilometers flow) as well as within the same district Unterbergen the municipality Schmiechen. The operator of the run- of -river power plant is Uniper Kraftwerke GmbH ; the generated output is 12.4 MW. The construction of the power plant was carried out on behalf of Bayerische Wasserkraft AG (BAWAG for short) and lasted from 1980 to 1982. The Lochbach restaurant previously located at this point had to be closed. Next to the Lech barrage is the Lochbach tap, which feeds the Lochbach with Lech water.

In contrast to barrage 23 further to the north, the reservoir near Unterbergen has no kiosk and only a few places to swim.
