The Lech barrage Ellgau is a barrage of the Lech between Augsburg and Marxheim and is located on river kilometer 17.1 in the area of the municipality of Thierhaupten in the Augsburg district .
The operator of the run- of -river power plant is Lechwerke AG , the generated output is 9.7 MW with a head of 8.25 m with the help of two Kaplan turbines .
The power plant has been in operation since 1952 and is listed in the Federal Network Agency's power plant list as BNA1136.
The expansion flow of the power plant is 165 m³ / s, the standard energy capacity 56,000 MWh per year.
