Usually he played villains or exaggerated characters with a rock / punk image. In 1980, director Penelope Spheeris shot a documentary about the Los Angeles punk scene called The Decline of Western Civilization , in which Fear featured prominently. Through this contact, Ving got a leading role in Spheeris' film Dudes in 1987 - Hold me tight, the desert shakes! . Since then he has only appeared in a few minor roles in theatrical productions.
