Innovations
While eight women's and eight men's teams have competed so far and two winners have been determined, from this year there will only be one winner. Men and women of a nation collect points together and are evaluated together.
A total of twelve nations take part in the highest league, so that every winner of a discipline collects twelve points for his national team. The runner-up gets one point less and so on. Athletes who are disqualified or give up will not receive any points. The nation with the most points in the final score wins.
Up to 14 nations can compete in the lower leagues of the European Team, and the points to be scored change accordingly.
