The Leimersdorfer Bach is a nearly nine kilometers long, orographically left and northern tributary of the Ahr in Rhineland-Palatinate ( Germany ).

The Leimersdorfer Bach also carries the names Nierendorfer Bach , Alte Bach , Gimmiger Bach and Heppinger Bach in the lower reaches .

The Leimersdorfer Bach rises a little north of Oeverich . The source is not clear and lies at an altitude of approx. 215  m above sea level. NHN . From here the stream flows to the southeast, reaches Niederich and flows through between Leimersdorf and Birresdorf . It continues on its way to the southeast and flows through the Grafschafter district of Nierendorf . From here it accompanies the state road 80 to the Bad Neuenahr districts of Gimmigen and Heppingen , where it flows into the Ahr flowing into the west of the Rhine .

Catchment area and tributaries

The 27.9 km² catchment area drains via the Ahr and Rhine to the North Sea .
