Leonardo Mattheo Zottele (born April 16, 1999 in Bludenz ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

society

Zottele began his career at FC Klostertal . For the 2013/14 season he came to AKA Vorarlberg . After two seasons at the Vorarlberger Akademie, he moved to Germany in the 2015/16 season to join the 1. FC Nürnberg youth team . First it was used for the B-Juniors, from 2016/17 for the A-Juniors.

For the 2018/19 season he returned to Austria and switched to Bundesliga club SCR Altach , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2021. In a year and a half at Altach, however, it was used exclusively for the third-rate amateurs, whereupon it was awarded to the second division club FC Dornbirn 1913 in January 2020 on a cooperation basis. He made his debut for Dornbirn in the 2nd division in February 2020 when he started against SC Austria Lustenau on matchday 17 of the 2019/20 season. In August 2020, the cooperation was extended by one season.

National team

Zottele played for the first time for an Austrian national youth team in September 2014. In August 2015 he made his debut against Russia for the U-17 team . With this he also took part in the EM in 2016 . In this one failed in the quarterfinals to Portugal , Zottele came to two appearances during the tournament.

In April 2017 he played against Germany for the U-18 selection . Between September 2017 and March 2018, Zottele played five games for the U-19 team .
