Maurice Mathis (born May 9, 1999 in Hohenems ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

society

Mathis began his career at VfB Hohenems . For the 2013/14 season he came to AKA Vorarlberg . For the 2015/16 season he moved to Germany in the B-youth of TSV 1860 Munich . In the 2015/16 season he played 16 games in the B-Junioren-Bundesliga , in which he scored six goals.

For the 2016/17 season he moved into the A-Juniors squad. In the 2016/17 season he made 17 appearances in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga , in which he did not score a goal. At the end of the season he had to relegate it in 1860. In July 2017 he was against SV Heimstetten for the first time in the squad of the second team from 1860. He made his debut for this in the Bayern League in August 2017 when he played against TSV Dachau 1865 in the 59th minute on the seventh matchday of the 2017/18 season came on for Daniel Živković. In October 2017, he scored his first goal in the fifth highest division in a 3-1 win against BCF Wolfratshausen .

For the 2018/19 season he moved to VfV 06 Hildesheim . For Hildesheim he completed 25 games in the league that season , in which he scored five goals.

He returned to Austria for the 2019/20 season and moved to the second division club FC Dornbirn 1913 . He made his debut in the second division in July 2019 when he came on as a substitute for Egzon Shabani in the 74th minute on the first match day of that season against SC Austria Lustenau .

National team

Mathis played for an Austrian national youth team for the first time in April 2014. In August 2015 he made his debut against Russia for the U-17 team . With this he also took part in the EM in 2016 , where they failed in the quarter-finals to Portugal . Mathis was used in two of Austria's four games during the tournament.

Personal

His brother Raphael (* 1996) is also a soccer player.
