Timo Friedrich (born January 16, 1998 in Hildesheim ) is an Austrian - German football player .

Career

Friedrich began his career at TSV Gestorf . In 2008 he switched to HSC Blau-Weiß Tündern . For the 2011/12 season he joined the youth team at Hannover 96 . In April 2014 he made his debut against Hamburger SV for the Hanover U-17 team in the B-Junior Bundesliga . In the following season 2014/15 he took part with Hanover as runner-up in the North / Northeast group in the championship finals, where they failed in the semifinals at VfB Stuttgart .

For the 2015/16 season he moved to the A-Juniors of TSV Havelse . In August 2015 he made his debut against Hertha BSC for Havelse in the A-Juniors Bundesliga . At the end of the season he had to relegate with Havelse from the Bundesliga. He then moved to the relegated FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt for the 2016/17 season .

For the 2017/18 season, Friedrich moved to Austria for the second division club SC Austria Lustenau , where he received a contract that ran until June 2019. At first he played at Lustenau for the fourth class amateurs in the Vorarlbergliga . In his first season at the club, he did not come to any use for the professionals.

In May 2019 he finally made his debut in the 2nd division when he came on as a substitute for Lucas Barbosa in the 71st minute against SKU Amstetten on matchday 28 of the 2018/19 season . After the 2018/19 season, he left Lustenau and switched to league rivals FC Dornbirn 1913 .

National team

Friedrich played for an Austrian national youth team for the first time in March 2013. In August 2014 he made his debut against Germany for the U-17 selection .

In March 2017, he made his only appearance for the U-19 team against Slovakia .
