Levent Özbaydoğan (born September 10, 1981 ) is a Turkish ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK in the Turkish Super League since 2011 .

Career

Club

Levent Özbaydoğan began his career as a hockey player at İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK , for whom he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in 2002 . In 2003 he switched to the team at the Police Academy in Ankara . With the team he won the Turkish championship title in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009 . After spending the 2010/11 season at Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kağıt SK , he moved back to İzmir , where he has been on the ice ever since.

National team

Özbaydoğan stood for Turkey at the World Championships of Division II in 2005 , 2007 and 2014 as well as Division III in 2006 , 2008 , 2011 , 2012 , when behind his compatriot Fikri Atalı and the Luxemburgish Philippe Lepage achieved the third-best catch rate of all goalkeepers in the tournament, and 2015 when he again achieved the third-best catch quota of the tournament behind the two North Koreans Pak Il and Pak Kuk-chol and behind Pak Il even had the second lowest goal average per game, in the box.
