Pak Kuk-chol (born June 12, 1991 ) is a North Korean ice hockey goalkeeper .

Career

Pak Kuk-chol made his first international appearance at the 2011 U20 World Cup , when he was on the ice for North Korea in Division III and finished third out of seven teams with his team behind Mexico and Serbia.

With the men's national team , he took part in the Division III World Championships in 2012 , 2013 and 2014 , when he conceded the fewest goals per game and achieved the second-best catch quota after the Bulgarian Konstantin Michailow . In all three tournaments, the North Koreans only missed promotion to Division II by one place in second (2012 behind Turkey , 2013 behind South Africa and 2014 behind Bulgaria ). In 2015 he made another attempt with the North Koreans and this time succeeded in the tournament in Izmir with a 4-3 win after extra time in the decisive game against the host Turks and promotion to Division II. Pak contributed to this success with the second best catch rate of the tournament after his compatriot Pak Il . In 2016 and 2017 he played with the North Koreans in Division II.

At club level, Pak plays for Taesongsan in the North Korean ice hockey league .
