Alexander "Lex" Immers (born June 8, 1986 in The Hague ) is a Dutch football player who has been under contract with the first division club ADO Den Haag since 2017 .

Career

Even as a teenager, Immers, who previously played for various smaller clubs in his hometown of The Hague and in Zoetermeer , joined the youth division of ADO Den Haag . He then moved in 2005 to his reserve team Jong ADO .

On August 24, 2007 he made his debut against RKC Waalwijk in the first team of the then second division club in the Jupiler League . With seven goals in 31 missions, Immers and his team achieved promotion to the Eredivisie this season . He made his first division debut on September 21, 2008 against De Graafschap . Also in the first division he was an important pillar in the ADO team in the following years.

At the end of March 2011, Immers was sentenced to five games by the Dutch Football Association . At a victory celebration after a game against Ajax Amsterdam, he and his teammate Charlton Vicento and coach John van den Brom sang anti-Semitic chants. His club also fined him the highest possible fine.

For the 2012/13 season Immers moved to league rivals Feyenoord Rotterdam . He was loaned to Cardiff City in January 2016 , before the Welsh club signed him six months later. But just six months later he was transferred to Club Bruges for free .

Since July 3, 2017 he is back under contract with his hometown club ADO Den Haag .
