The Lez is a river in France that runs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur regions. It rises in the municipality of Teyssières , initially drains in a north-westerly direction, but then turns to south-west and reaches the Rhône valley near Bollène . Here he comes first on the ship channel Canal de Donzère-Mondragon , for the supply of water is diverted. The Lez runs parallel to the canal, reaches the Rhône river at Mondragon , accompanies it a little further and flows into a left side channel of the Rhône after a total of 74 kilometers in the municipality of Mornas . On its way, the Lez crosses the Drôme and Vaucluse departments .
