Mornas is a French village with 2,407 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Vaucluse in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the Arrondissement Carpentras and the Canton of Bollène .

The community lies on a narrow terrain between the eastern bank of the Rhône and a steep limestone massif on which the Mornas Castle stands. It shares this terrain with the Autoroute A7 , Route nationale 7 , the TGV route from Paris to the Mediterranean ( TGV Méditerranée ) directly on the riverbank and a regional railway.

Neighboring communities of Mornas on the left bank of the river are Piolenc in the south, Mondragon in the north, Uchaux in the east.
