Villes-sur-Auzon is a French commune with 1,287 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Vaucluse in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of Pernes-les-Fontaines in the Carpentras arrondissement .
geography
Villes-sur-Auzon is 300 m above sea level. M., about 17 kilometers east of the city of Carpentras . The wine-growing village is on the edge of the Plateau de Vaucluse at the foot of Mont Ventoux .

economy
Villes-sur-Auzon is the easternmost municipality of the wine region Cotes du Ventoux . The grapes are vinified and sold together with those from the neighboring town of Mormoiron through a cooperative.
Attractions
The 17 km long road (D 942) through the impressive Gorges de la Nesque gorge begins at the end of the village in the direction of Sault .
