The Communauté de communes Ventoux-Sud is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the departments of Vaucluse and Drome of Regions Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur and Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It was founded on December 26, 2012 and comprises 11 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in Sault . The special feature is the cross-departmental and cross-regional structuring of the municipalities. The association of municipalities comprises the southern part of Mont Ventoux , an isolated mountain massif in the Provencal Pre-Alps .

Historical development

The community association was founded on January 1, 2013. It emerged from the two municipal associations Terrasses du Ventoux and Pays de Sault .

tasks

The competencies required include the development and promotion of economic activities and tourism as well as spatial planning on the basis of a Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale . The community association operates the road maintenance service as well as the garbage collection and disposal. In addition, the association builds and maintains cultural and sports facilities of cross-community importance.
