Savoillan is a French municipality with 63 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Vaucluse in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of Vaison-la-Romaine in the Arrondissement of Carpentras .
geography
Savoillan is located in the northeast of the Vaucluse department on the border with the Drôme department . Surrounding communities are Aurel and Brantes in Vaucluse and Reilhanette in Drôme. The next major city is Carpentras, 30 km southwest .
Savoillan is on the north side of Mont Ventoux . The Toulourenc , which rises at an altitude of 1242 m north of the Montagne du Buc, flows through the municipality . The height of the municipality ranges from 494 meters in the valley of the Toulourenc to 1389 meters in the extreme south-west.
traffic
On the east-west axis, the D40 départementale route runs from Reilhanette towards Mollans-sur-Ouvèze . The D41 branches off north of the community center and heads towards Brantes and Buis-les-Baronnies .
