Le Beaucet is a French municipality with 351 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Vaucluse department in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of Pernes-les-Fontaines in the Carpentras arrondissement .

The village with its small alleys is located on steep rocks with caves. The center of Beaucet is reserved for pedestrians only. Le Beaucet is a typical Provencal mountain village and was mainly built of dry stone . Some of the houses built into the rock are house-type troglodytes .

The community is mainly north-south oriented. The highest point is in the south on the Monts de Vaucluse . The deepest point is the plain around Saint-Didier in the north.

location

The municipality is located about four kilometers south of Saint-Didier. It joins the western foothills of the Monts de Vaucluse and is located near La Roque-sur-Pernes , Pernes-les-Fontaines and Venasque . In the south are the places Saumane-de-Vaucluse , Fontaine-de-Vaucluse , Gordes and the valley of the Luberon .
