Reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017
As a result of the reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017, the arrondissement of Avignon became the area of the 21 municipalities of Bollène , Caderousse , Camaret-sur-Aigues , Châteauneuf-du-Pape , Grillon , Jonquières , Lagarde-Paréol , Lamotte-du-Rhône , Lapalud , Mondragon , Mornas , Orange , Piolenc , Richerenches , Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes , Sérignan-du-Comtat , Travaillan , Uchaux , Valréas , Violès and Visan are assigned to the Carpentras arrondissement.
Instead, the area of the two communities Entraigues-sur-la-Sorgue and Velleron changed from the Arrondissement Carpentras to the Arrondissement Avignon .
