In 1174, the Saint-Michel church belonged to the mensal property of the Saint-Eusèbe de Saignon abbey and existed under the name Notre-Dame de Nazareth. In the thirteenth century, Astouaud, the town's ruler, expanded it into a fortress church. By marriage she went to the Crillon family, who were buried there, and then to the Cambis family, who built a chapel. The nave got a ribbed groin vault in the fourteenth century . The current facade dates from the eighteenth century. Since March 11, 2004 , the church has been a monument historique .

The Chapel of the Gray Penitents or chapelle de la Croix is dated to 1681 .
