Liam Vaughan Henry Fontaine (born January 7, 1986 in Beckenham , London ) is an English football player . The center- back is under contract with Hibernian Edinburgh in the Scottish Premiership and is loaned out to Ross County .

Career

Liam Fontaine was born in Beckenham, a district of the English capital, London . He began his career there with Fulham FC , which is based in the western part of central London . On January 5, 2005 Fontaine made his professional debut for the Cottagers in the Premier League against Southampton FC when he was substituted on for Liam Rosenior . In the following two years he was not used for the club. This was followed by a total of four loan positions for Fontaine at Yeovil Town (twice), FC Kilmarnock and Bristol City . Fontaine was signed by the robins from Bristol in the summer of 2006. In the following eight years he was under contract with the club and played over 200 competitive games. In the 2013-14 season he was awarded to Yeovil Town. In August 2014, the central defender was signed by the Scottish second division club Hibernian Edinburgh . With the Hibs , he won the Scottish Cup in 2016 as a second division team. A year later the successful ascent in the Premiership . As of January 2018, it is awarded to Ross County .

National team

Liam Fontaine played in 2001, 2002 and 2005 for the English junior national teams of the U-16 , U-17 and U-20 age groups.
