Keith Watson (born November 14, 1989 in Livingston ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with Ross County .

Career

Keith Watson was born in 1989 in the Scottish town of Livingston in the West Lothian region. He attended Deans Community High School in his hometown and played soccer at the Livingston Star Boys Club . From 2004 he played for two years in the Youth Academy of Dundee United . He made his professional debut for the Tangerines in January 2007 in the 3rd round of the Scottish Cup against FC St. Mirren . From January to May 2009 Watson was loaned to Forfar Athletic , but due to a knee injury, he was not used. In December of the same year the defender was loaned to FC East Fife , and for which he played six times in the Second Division . In the final of the Scottish FA Cup 2009/10 , which he won 3-0 with United , he came on in the 83rd minute for Mihael Kovačević . From January to June 2015, Watson was awarded to Hibernian Edinburgh . In August 2015, Watson signed a contract with the Scottish first division relegated FC St. Mirren until January 2016, which was later extended to the end of the 2015/16 season.

In May 2016 it was announced that Watson was moving to the first division club St. Johnstone for the new season .
