Librilla is a municipality in the Spanish region of Murcia on the Mediterranean motorway ( A-7 / E 15 ), about 27 kilometers west of the regional capital Murcia .

The community was mentioned as early as 1154 under the name "Hissan" or "Lymbraya" (ghost gorge).
