Alhama de Murcia is a municipality and also a city in the autonomous region of Murcia in Spain .
It is located 30 km southwest of Murcia . The Autovía A-7 bypasses the place on the east side.
On January 1, 2019, 22,077 inhabitants lived in an area of 311.55 km².
