Molina de Segura is a city in southeastern Spain .
Geography and climate
Molina de Segura is located in the valley of the Río Segura and belongs to the autonomous region of Murcia . The former Kingdom of Murcia (today Región de Murcia) is one of the driest areas in Europe. The temperatures in summer often rise above 40 ° C with only 340 mm of rain per year. The water shortage is a constant problem and also plays a major role in politics. Flora and fauna are shaped by the Mediterranean climate . The winters are mild.
