Lilium fargesii ( Chin.绿 花 百合 / 綠 花 百合, lǜ huā bǎihé), synonym also Lilium cupreum is a species from the genus of lilies ( Lilium ) in the Asian section . The closest relative of the species is Lilium xanthellum .
description
Lilium fargesii is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 20 to 70 centimeters. The onions are oval and reach a diameter of about 1.5 cm. They are covered with white lanceolate to oval scales. The stems are tender and on the surface papillose . The grass-like leaves are linear, between 10 and 14 cm long and 2 to 5 mm wide. They are freely distributed around the stem, but concentrate on the middle and distal parts of the stem, their edge is bent over.
It blooms from July to August with a single nodding flower or with several in a panicle . The hermaphrodite flowers are threefold. The six identical, lanceolate bracts (tepals) are strongly bent back ( Turk's collar shape ) and 3 to 3.5 cm long and between 7 mm and 10 mm wide. The edges are bent over. The basic color of the flowers is greenish-white with purple or purple-brown points. The anthers are orange, the pollen are orange to brown, and the filaments are between 2 and 2.2 cm long and sticky. The stylus is 12 to 15 mm long and the scar is cylindrical and 1 cm to 1.5 cm thick. The nectaries are bulging on both sides. The seeds ripen from September to October in oval seed capsules about 2 cm long and 1.5 cm wide and germinate immediately and epigeously .

Lilium fargesii grows on wooded slopes at altitudes from 1400 m to 2300 m above sea level.
The species is common in the provinces of Hubei , Shaanxi , Sichuan and Yunnan in the People's Republic of China .
