Lim Jie-sun (* in Seoul ) is a South Korean composer .
Life
Lim studied composition at Yonsei University in Seoul and Indiana University in Bloomington, USA (D.Mus., 1990).
Since 1996 she has been Professor of Composition and Music Theory at Yonsei University. From 2002 to 2003 she was a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. She is the general secretary of the Korean Society of Women Composers.
Her works have been played at numerous international festivals ( Tribune internationale des compositeurs in Paris, ISCM World Music Days in Moldova and Seoul International Music Festival). She has received several awards, including a. with the Korean National Music Prize Award, Ahn Iktae Prize and ACL Yoshiro IRINO Memorial Prize .
