Lincoln Kilpatrick (born February 12, 1931 in St. Louis , Missouri , † May 18, 2004 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor .

Life

After graduating from Lincoln University with a bachelor's degree in English and serving two years in the United States Army in Alaska , Billie Holiday , who sang in his mother's nightclub, encouraged him to seek his fortune as an actor. He moved to New York City and studied acting at the American Theater Wing . Already in 1960 was the Broadway -Stück A Raisin in the Sun , a drama by Lorraine Hansberry give his debut as an actor. After a few television and film roles in the 1960s, he moved to Los Angeles in 1971 , where he founded the Kilpatrick-Cambridge Theater Arts School with Edmund J. Cambridge .

This was followed by roles in films such as The Omega Man , ... Year 2022 ... Who Want to Survive and Fortress - The Fortress, as well as series such as The Six Million Dollar Man , Kojak - Use in Manhattan and Emergency Room - The emergency room , with Kilpatrick in the two series Matt Houston and Frank's Place each embodied a character for at least one season.

Lincoln Kilpatrick died on May 18, 2004 of complications from his lung cancer at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Until his death he was married to the singer Helena Ferguson , whom he married in 1957. They had five children together, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
