Lindsay Sloane Leikin (born August 8, 1977 on Long Island , New York ) is an American actress .

Life

Lindsay Sloane Leikin is the daughter of Renée and Joey Leikin. After the family moved to Los Angeles , she signed her first agency contract at the age of eight. She attended Chatsworth High School in Chatsworth , California with Candace Cameron . Her first recurring supporting role played Sloane from 1991 to 1993 for six episodes in the series Wonderful Years .

From 1997 to 1999 she played Valerie Birkhead , her most famous role, in the hit series Sabrina - Totally Verhext! . She was temporarily in a relationship with Nate Richert , who also worked on the series. In 2001, she starred in the short-lived comedy satire Starlets . In the following years Sloane worked in several film and television productions, mostly in supporting and guest roles, including the 2009 sitcom How I Met Your Mother .

Lindsay Sloane has been married to Dar Rollins since 2004, with whom she has a daughter who was born in 2012.
