Lions is the sixth studio album by the American rock band The Black Crowes and was released in 2001 under the V2 Records label.

Lions was recorded in New York City in January and February 2001 and produced by Don Was .

The album reached number 20 when it was released on the Billboard 200. More than 53,000 albums were sold in the first week. Lions received mixed reviews. It was generally well received, although it was criticized for the lack of hits.

The band supported their album with two tours through North America and in between with a short tour of Japan and Europe. After the tour ended, the band took a break until 2005.

During the recording session, the songs Last Time Again , Sleepyheads , The Pretty Gurl Song , Let The Band Play and Remember Song were recorded, although the titles of the latter two are not clearly defined.

Single releases

Lickin ' and Soul Singing were released as singles in 2001. Here were Last Time Again , Love Is Now and Sleepy Heads published by the recording session. The third single Miracle To Me should appear with the song The Pretty Gurl Song as the B-side. However, the publication was canceled.
