amorica. is the third album by the Black Crowes . After the band (mainly Chris and Rich Robinson) were not satisfied with the tracks recorded in January 1994 for the planned album called Tall , they went back to the studio in May / June to record more tracks. Many pieces from the Tall Sessions were re-recorded, so that finally a new album, amorica. called, existed. It was awarded gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in January 1995 .

Album cover
The album cover is based on the cover photo of the Super Bicentennial Edition of Hustler Magazine from July 1976 on the occasion of the bicentenary of the United States' Declaration of Independence . It shows a female abdomen wearing bikini briefs in the design of the USA flag. Because you can see pubic hair above the bikini (see web links ), some American dealers refused to put the album on their shelves. Therefore, a defused version was published in which only the bikini fabric was shown against a black background.
