The gmina wiejska Lipno is an independent rural community in Poland in the powiat Lipnowski in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship . It has 11,830 inhabitants (June 30, 2019) and has an area of 209.7 km², 23% of which is covered by forest and 67% by agricultural area. The administrative seat of the rural municipality is the city of Lipno , which does not belong to it.

The municipal area includes the city of Lipno completely and is located on the Mień River about 20 km north-northeast of Włocławek and 40 km southeast of Toruń .
