Lisa Hildegard Badum (born October 2, 1983 in Forchheim ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

From 2016 to 2018 she was district chairwoman of the Greens in Upper Franconia, and in September 2017 she was elected to the 19th German Bundestag. She is climate policy spokeswoman for the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group. She is particularly committed to the expansion of renewable energies by means of a citizen-oriented energy turnaround, for the decoupling of economic growth and greenhouse gases and for a CO 2 price . In February 2019, she proposed the Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Life

Badum attended the Anna elementary school in Forchheim from 1990 to 1994. After graduating from high school in 2003 at the Ehrenbürg-Gymnasium there, she began studying political science at the Otto Friedrich University of Bamberg in the same year , which she successfully completed in 2010. She spent two semesters of her studies in Thessaloniki , Greece .

Political career

As a teenager, Badum was already involved in the women's rights organization Terre des Femmes . Badum continued her commitment at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg. a. as a senator and as the founder of the gender equality department. She came to Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in 2005 through the Green University Group and MdB Ursula Sowa . Badum has been a district councilor for the Forchheim district since May 2008 .

In the course of her work for a green energy supplier, Badum campaigned for the “citizen energy transition”. She has been a member of the board at Bürgerenergie Bayern since 2014 .

In December 2008 she was nominated as a green direct candidate for the 2009 Bundestag election for constituency 236 (Bamberg-Forchheim) and was elected to 15th place on the Bavarian state list, which was not enough for her entry into the Bundestag. In the 2013 federal election, she again missed out on position 13 on the state list, which she finally made it to 11 in 2017.

As a member of the German Bundestag , Badum is a full member of the Committee for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and a deputy member of the Committee for Economic Affairs and Energy .

In 2019, Badum was one of the supporters of the " End of Terrain " alliance, which the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution had classified as "influenced by left-wing extremists ".

From 2010 to autumn 2013 Badum worked as a research assistant in the constituency office of MdB Uwe Kekeritz in Fürth . From 2012 until her election to the Bundestag in 2017, she worked in the area of ​​citizen energy for the green energy provider Naturstrom .

Prizes and awards

In 2015, Badum was awarded the Helene Weber Prize for her commitment to community and gender equality , which was presented to her by Family Minister Manuela Schwesig .
