Lisa Carrie Elizabeth Roman (born September 17, 1989 in Surrey , British Columbia ) is a Canadian rower who won three medals in eight world championships.

Lisa Roman began rowing at the University of the Fraser Valley , and in 2010 the psychology student moved to Washington State University . In 2011 she won the U23 World Championships with the Canadian eighth . She has been rowing in the World Cup since 2013 . At the 2013 World Championships , the US eight won ahead of the Romanians, Lisa Roman received the bronze medal. In 2014, the Canadian eighth won the World Cup finals in Lucerne in the absence of the US boat. At the World Championships in Amsterdam , the US boat won again over the Canadians. In 2015, the Canadians rowed the bronze medal behind the US boat and the New Zealanders at the World Championships on Lac d'Aiguebelette . At the 2016 Olympic Games , the Canadian eighth finished fifth.

In 2017 there were still three rowers from the Olympic eight in the boat, which took second place behind the Romanians at the World Championships in Sarasota . In addition to the eighth, Roman also competed in the four without a helmsman and took ninth place in this boat class. In 2018 Roman only rowed in eighth, at the World Championships in Plovdiv the Canadians won silver behind eighth from the United States.
