Lise Cabble (born January 10, 1958 in Amager ) is a Danish singer and songwriter . She is best known for her co-authorship of Only Teardrops , the winning song of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 , as well as other successful ESC songs.

Career

Cabble was a member of the band Clinic Q in the 1980s and then lead singer in the rock band Miss B. Haven between 1986 and 1997 . In 1996, Cabble and her bandmate Mette Mathiesen wrote the music for the theater performance Danmarks Krøniken . She also writes songs for various artists on the Danish pop and rock music scene, including Sanne Salomonsen , Michael Learns to Rock and Celina Ree .

A large part of her musical work takes up the writing for a large number of acts at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix , four of which won the competition and thus competed for Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest . At ESC 1995 could Aud Wilken entitled Fra Mols til Skagen , written again with Mette Mathiesen, reach the 5th place. Their song New Tomorrow brought the band A Friend in London at the ESC 2011 also a 5th place. Together with Julia Fabrin Jakobsen and Thomas Stengaard, Cabble wrote the title Only Teardrops , with which Emmelie de Forest won the ESC for Denmark in 2013. At the ESC 2019 she was also co-author of the title Love Is Forever , with which Leonora was able to achieve a 12th place.
