This list contains musicians, album titles, date of entry into the charts, length of stay in the charts and highest position (abbreviated HP ). The presetting is made alphabetically according to the artist. It can also be sorted by title, chart entry, length of stay and position.

The Billboard Album List (1949) is a complete list of the albums that made it into the 1949 calendar year . The top 10 determined over the year consisted of the sales figures of 1,400 stores throughout the United States. This year a total of 59 albums were placed.
