This list contains musicians, album titles, date of entry into the charts, length of stay in the charts and highest position (abbreviated HP ). The presetting is made alphabetically according to the artist. It can also be sorted by title, chart entry, length of stay and position. |
The List of Billboard Albums (1950) is a complete list of the albums that made it into the 1950 calendar year . The top 10 determined over the year consisted of the sales figures of 1,400 stores throughout the United States. This year a total of 72 albums were placed.
From July 22, 1950, the album charts were divided into 33 ⅓ and 45 min −1 according to playback speed . This separation remained in force until the temporary suspension of the weekly album charts in September 1953.
