List of architectural monuments in Chorin

The list of architectural monuments in Chorin contains all architectural monuments of the Brandenburg municipality of Chorin and its districts.

The basis is the state monument list as of December 31, 2019. The ground monuments are included in the list of ground monuments in Chorin .

Architectural monuments in the districts

( Location ) Complete complex of the Cistercian monastery Chorin The Cistercian monastery Chorin was founded in 1258 by the margraves Johann I and Otto III. founded and secularized in 1542 . From 1810, restorations began, also thanks to Schinkel's commitment. During the Thirty Years War the monastery fell apart. Since the 20th century it has mainly served as a cultural site.

Official forge The exterior of the “old forge house” has been preserved. It dates back to the Middle Ages , but has been used as an inn for several decades . In the historical ambience you can get married, dine and even forge yourself.
