Schmidbaur combines several cellar lanes on the south-western edge of the village to form a cellar lane system: Burgkellergasse, which leads uphill in a wide ditch from the village to the south-west, Triftkellergasse to the south-west of the village on both sides of Wiener Straße, and the one-sided Dameln-Kellergasse, which runs along an edge of the Wiener Straße leads north to the Mühlbach. A total of 180 buildings are located here over a length of 1,400 meters, almost a third of which are renovations and new buildings. Most of the cellars are in the form of a shield wall. The oldest dating goes back to 1931. |
