In the southern part, bordering the village of Gaisruck, there are 38 cellars over a length of 250 meters, some of them eaves, some in the form of a shield wall. About two thirds of the cellars are in need of renovation or are in disrepair. The oldest dating is from 1814. 200 meters further north, west of Pettendorf, there are another 20 cellars.
The access from Wagramstraße to the swimming pool, sports field and event barn continues into Gaisrucker Kellergasse with a subsequent ravine over the Sauberg (Sauberi) and a path connection to Pettendorf , where the actual Himmelreich (reed name) is located. The event hall was prepared by the market town for rustic events. Private parties - such as weddings or birthdays - are also gladly celebrated here. Local festivals (fire brigade etc.) as well as performances by the St. Agatha choir, the “Stad'l-Blues” (a two-day jazz event) known far beyond the market town or the “Gaisrock” youth festival take place here. Embedded in the ambience of a typical cellar lane, the bath, barn, refreshment station of the Hausleitner adventure hiking trail and - not to be underestimated! - a public toilet is a popular leisure retreat. |
